India Leads WTC Points Table Amidst Australia Series

Changes in World Test Championship Points After Recent Matches

Results of recent Test matches have triggered a shift in the World Test Championship 2023-25 points table. As the series between India and Australia progresses, changes have taken place following Bangladesh’s win in the last match of the 2-match Test series with the West Indies.

West Indies Drops to Last Position

Bangladesh managed to secure a 1-1 draw in the Test series and moved up to the 8th position in the WTC points table, achieving 31.25 PCT. The loss led West Indies to slip to the last position, with a PCT of 24.24. However, West Indies can still improve its ranking in a 2-match Test series against Pakistan early next year.

Positions of Major Teams

The Indian cricket team currently tops the World Test Championship 2023-25 points table with a PCT of 61.11, as the series with Australia unfolds. Meanwhile, Australia dropped to the third spot after losing the number one position post the Perth Test, now standing at a PCT of 57.69. After its win in the first Test match of the series with Sri Lanka, South Africa jumped to the second position with a PCT of 59.26.
