India: Explosion in a motorcycle, father and son killed, weak-hearted people do not see

New Delhi: A motorcycle laden with firecrackers exploded in India, killing a father and son.

According to Indian media reports, a motorcycle laden with firecrackers exploded on Diwali day in Valopuram district of Tamil Nadu, killing the father and son.

CCTV footage of the incident came to light, the video shows an Indian national and his son passing by a motorbike as soon as it passed the checkpoint.

Police say the father tied the firecrackers tightly to the motorcycle and placed his son on top of it.

Police say the motorcycle may have exploded due to friction and pressure, or it may have been hit by a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.

Police say the blast also injured three people who were taken to hospital for medical treatment.

According to the report, the deceased father and son have been identified as 35-year-old Kalinisan and 7-year-old Pradesh, Kalinisan was working in an automobile parts company.

Indian media say that Kalinisan was going to celebrate Diwali at his mother-in-law’s house. He had ordered homemade firecrackers from his hometown.

Police say further investigations into the incident are ongoing.
