Sweet-lovers love the juice, but in India, many trains have been delayed and suspended for up to 40 hours due to the juice.
Dozens of people staged a sit-in on the railway tracks in the Indian state of Bihar to stop trains. As a result of the sit-in, several trains were delayed and more than 100 trains had to be diverted.
The protesters demanded that Brahiya be declared a railway stop and trains be stopped here.
Burhiya is famous for its delicious raspberries and there are more than 200 raspberry shops in this small town.
A large number of the protesters on the sit-in were juice sellers and demanded that since their business was severely damaged during the Corona virus epidemic, trains should be stopped so that people could get off and buy juice. His business got some support.
Railway officials have so far assured to stop a train at Brahiya while also assuring that within a few months this town will be declared as a regular railway stop after which trains will start stopping here.
After assurances from the authorities, the protesters called off their sit-in and after 40 hours, the normal flow of trains resumed.
