India A vs South Africa A: Indian bowlers were beaten on day one, Malan and Georgi scored centuries

In the ongoing unofficial test match between the A teams of India and South Africa, the first day was very bad for the Indian players. The young bowlers on the team took a lot of beatings. South Africa scored 343 for the loss of just 3 wickets on the first day, thanks to the centuries of South African starter Peter Malan and middle-order hitter Tony De Georgi.

The Indian bowlers started very well but could not carry it on. Fast bowlers Navdeep Saini and Nagwaswala dropped 2 wickets for South Africa in 14 races. Sarel Irvi and Renard Van Tonder were left with nothing, but the 216-run partnership between Peter Malan and Tony de Georgie left the Indian bowlers completely exhausted. Georgi fell victim to Umran Malik after scoring 117 runs, while Peter Malan returned to the pavilion undefeated after scoring 157 runs. Along with him, Jason Smith also remained undefeated after scoring 51 runs. There has also been a 112-run association for the fourth wicket among South African players.

The Indian fast bowlers had an average performance on the first day of the test match, but the Indian spinners proved to be a complete failure. Krishnappa Gautam, Rahul Chahar and Baba Aparajith could not get a single wicket. On the other hand, fast bowlers Navdeep Saini, Arjan Nagwaswala and Umran Malik each got a wicket.

Priyank Panchal (captain), Prithvi Shaw, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Hanuma Vihari, Baba Aparajith, Upendra Yadav (wicketkeeper), Krishnappa Gautam, Rahul Chahar, Navdeep Saini, Arjan Nagwaswala, and Umran Malik.
