The India A team’s Tanush Kotian and Anshul Kumbhaj scored half-centuries to help their team declare their second innings at 417/7. This set England Lions a target of 439 runs to win.
Kumbhaj then took two wickets for six runs, removing Emilio Gay and Jordan Cox. Tushar Deshpande also got a wicket, dismissing Tom Haines for seven runs. When the match was drawn, Ben McKinney was batting on 16, with captain James Reeva yet to score.
Earlier, Kotian scored an unbeaten 90, including 10 fours, from 108 balls. He and Kumbhaj put on an unbeaten 149-run stand for the eighth wicket. Kumbhaj also played a fine knock, taking advantage of the tired England bowlers.
Kotian reached his 16th first-class half-century by hitting a four off Ben McKinney in the 74th over. Kumbhaj scored his maiden half-century by hitting three runs off Tom Haines in the 91st over.
The England bowlers took the new ball after the 80th over but couldn’t get a wicket. India A scored at a rate of more than 4.5 runs per over for most of their second innings.

Shardul also played some good shots, hitting two fours off Farhan Ahmed, but was bowled by Hill for 34, which included three fours and two sixes.
India A had taken a 21-run lead in the first innings, scoring 348 and then bowling out England Lions for 327.
