The court acquitted 20 Hindu extremists involved in the murder of Muslim engineer Mohsin Sheikh in the Indian state of Maharashtra after 9 years.
According to media reports, in 2014, 20 people including Hindu Rashtra Sena chief Dhananjay falsely accused Mohsin Sheikh and killed him in Hadapsar area.
After the tragic incident, 20 killers, including Dhananjay, were arrested, but today Additional Sessions Judge SB Salonke’s court ordered the release of the killers due to lack of evidence.
Dhananjay’s lawyer told the media after the hearing that when Mohsin Sheikh was killed, Dhananjay was in jail in another case, my client has nothing to do with the murder.
The family of the deceased has announced to approach the High Court rejecting the court decision.
