Smriti Mandhana
India women’s cricket team starter Smriti Mandhana, along with two other players, is still in Managed Isolation and Quarantine (MIQ) in Christchurch and after sitting out the T20 match, she is now unsure about playing in the first ODI too. Apart from Mandhana, fast bowlers Meghna Singh and Renuka Singh are also in MIQ.
However, it is not known why his quarantine period has been extended. The first ODI between the two teams will be played on Saturday. “Smriti, Meghna Singh and Renuka Singh are in the MIQ mandated by the New Zealand government,” batsman Yastika Bhatia told a news conference after India’s 18-run loss in the only T20 match.
The Indian team completed a ten-day quarantine after arriving in New Zealand. Bhatia said: “That’s all I can say at this point.” The Indian team also completed a week-long quarantine in Mumbai before leaving for New Zealand.

To reduce the threat of Corona, New Zealand Cricket has kept all India matches in Queenstown. Bhatia and Shefali Verma opened the innings in Mandhana’s absence.
When asked about the situation, Bhatia said: “The wind is blowing very hard and we have to adapt accordingly to play the shots. It will help a lot.”
