A strange incident took place in the first T20 International match of the ongoing series between India and Sri Lanka. Two players captained the India team at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. This particular incident occurred after 10.4 overs of play in innings for Sri Lanka, chasing a target of 163 runs from India. Hardik Pandya captained the Indian team until this point in the match. But after this, Suryakumar Yadav, the T20 cricket superstar, took over the command of the team.

Hardik Pandya’s injury made Surya the captain

Actually, Harshal Patel bowled 11 for India. On the fourth ball of his over, Sri Lankan batsman Bhanuka Rajapaksa fired a shot into the air at half. Captain Hardik Pandya, who was present there, walked towards the ball a bit, but was unable to keep his balance in the wet outfield as he made the catch. Pandya injured his legs. Wasting no time, the Indian team doctors arrived on the pitch. The team doctor decided to remove Pandya. As Pandya came to the bench, command of the Indian team was left to Surya.
