The Indian cricket team will tour South Africa next month. Team India has to play three T20, three ODI and two match Test series in South Africa. This tour starts on December 10th. The T20 series will be played first. After that, ODI and then Test series will be played.
BCCI has announced Team India for the South Africa tour. Different captains were selected in the series of all three formats. Suryakumar Yadav will captain Team India in the T20 series, KL Rahul in the ODI series and Rohit Sharma in the Test series.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will only feature in the Test series. These two star batsmen are not in the ODI and T20 team. BCCI said that both of them stayed away from the white-ball series. While Mohammed Shami, who created havoc in the World Cup, was only included in the Test team.
An update on Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli from BCCI said, “Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have requested the board to take a break from the white-ball phase of the tour (ODI and T20 series).”
