The second match of the 2-Test series between India and South Africa will be played in Cape Town. The first day of testing was full of ups and downs. Many big records were made on the first day. After winning the toss and electing to bat first, the South African team managed just 55 runs. This is South Africa's lowest score in Test matches against India. Apart from that, there were a record 23 batsmen out today.
The last 6 batsmen of the Indian team were out without adding any more runs. When the fifth batsman of the Indian team was out, the score was actually 153 runs, but after that the remaining batsmen couldn't even add a single run. This happened for the first time in cricket. Also, 7 batsmen failed to open their account in an innings. This happened for only the second time in Test history when 7 batsmen returned to the pavilion with zero in an innings.

There were 23 batsmen on the first day of the Cape Town Test, which is a record. However, the record for the highest number of wickets to fall on the first day was set about 121 years ago. A record 25 batsmen returned to the pavilion on the first day of the Test between Australia and England. This test was played in 1902 between the two teams. However, 23 players dropped out on the first day of this test today. This is the second in the almost 150-year history of Test cricket.
