IND vs NZ Devon Conway ruled out of test series against India
Wellington. In-form New Zealand hitter Daryl Mitchell has been included in the squad for the upcoming two-Test series against India as a replacement for the injured Devon Conway. Conway’s broken hand during New Zealand’s semi-final over England on Wednesday knocked him out of the tour of India and the ICC T20 World Cup final against Australia on Sunday.

New Zealand coach Gary Stead said Conway will return home with the T20 team after the three-game series against India next week, while Mitchell will remain there for the test series.
“It is disappointing that Devon has been ruled out of the first series of the new World Trials Championship, but this is an opportunity for another player,” Stead said in a statement issued by New Zealand Cricket (NZC).

“Daryl’s variety can come in handy in a lot of batting orders and he’s definitely full of confidence right now,” he said.
“He’s shown that he can do exceptionally well in test cricket and I know he’s excited to be back on the test team,” said Stead.
The New Zealand team will arrive in India on Monday for a series of three T20 Internationals starting November 17 in Jaipur. The second T20 will be played in Ranchi on November 19, while the third will be played in Kolkata on November 21. The first round of the two-round series will be played in Kanpur from November 25, while the second round will be played in Mumbai from December 3.
