IND vs IRE: Some new faces may debut in the first T20, hints Capt. Hardik Pandya

The first match of the two-match T20 series between India and Ireland will be played on June 26 at The Village, Dublin. For this series, Hardik Pandya was given command of the Indian team. Hardik will be seen captaining the Indian team for the first time. Previously, under his captaincy, Gujarat Titans won the IPL 2022 title. In the pre-match press conference, captain Hardik Pandya has indicated that many young players can have a chance in the series.

In the press conference before Saturday’s match, Pandya said that obviously we want to give youngsters opportunities. But we want to present the best XI. In such a situation, we can deliver some debut caps. He said we have to play every game like it’s a World Cup final. So it doesn’t matter what team we’re on.

Pandya said that the culture established by captain Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid, we will carry forward. We have good bench strength, we have teams for different formats. In such a situation, players can have many opportunities. Regarding his injury, Hardik said that now I have gotten into a rhythm. The team will get the benefit of this. I will do my best to do well as captain.
