IND vs ENG: Hard to beat England after McCullum becomes manager, knows England’s strength

The Indian team has arrived in England for a series of one test, three ODIs and three T20 matches. The fifth test will be played between India and England (IND vs ENG) at Edgbaston from July 1. This will be the last match of last year’s Test series, with the Indian team winning 2-1 in the series. The fifth and final test at Old Trafford was postponed due to Corona.

It will not be easy for the Indian team to win this test series. Rohit Sharma and company will have to work hard. Instead, legendary players such as Joe Root, Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow have returned to the England team. Apart from this, McCullum is currently the head coach of the England team. However, the head coach of the Indian team, Rahul Dravid, has expressed confidence in his team.

  • England recently defeated New Zealand in the first two Tests.
  • Under the captaincy of Ben Stokes, England easily chased down 299 in the second Test.
  • Players like Root, Stuart Broad, Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow are in excellent form.
  • The Indian team has not played any test matches since March.
  • Except for Cheteshwar Pujara, all the players were busy in the IPL.
  • Manager Brendon McCullum will prove useful for England.
  • McCullum, who coached KKR in the IPL, knows the weakness of the Indian players.

In 2021, the team had to work hard under the leadership of Joe Root and coach Chris Silverwood. The team had won just one of 17 Tests in two years. In 2021, Rory Burns and Haseeb Hameed flopped first. This time bowling in England was strengthened by the arrival of Matty Potts. Aside from the multi-talented Ben Stokes, the return of Ollie Robinson and Sam Curran could become a threat to India.
