IND vs ENG: Anderson raised questions about Jadeja’s batting, the Indian all-rounder gave a fitting answer

The latest test match is being played between India and England at Edgbaston. Batting first after losing the toss in the test match, India scored 416 runs for the loss of 10 wickets. Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja scored centuries for India. Pant scored 146 runs on 111 balls, while Jadeja scored 104 runs on 194 balls. There was a 222-run partnership between Pant and Jadeja for sixth wicket. After his century, Jadeja responded to James Anderson’s comment.

Speaking to the press after the end of the second day, Anderson said that before Jadeja was hitting at No. 8. But now he is hitting like a true hitter at No. 1. He is hitting well, he added to our problems.

After the game, when Jadeja was asked about Anderson’s comment, he recalled an incident from 2014. He said that when you score runs, everyone says he considers himself a good hitter. But I’ve always tried to give myself time in the fold. I try to associate by staying in the fold. Anderson realized this after 2014.

In fact, during the 2014 series, there was a fight between Jadeja and James Anderson. Then the manager of the Indian team, Sunil Dev, had filed a complaint accusing Anderson of abusing and shoving after the Test Match ended. Anderson was later charged with a Level 3 offense. Dev had said in an ESPNcricinfo conversation: ‘It’s a serious matter just because you can’t pressure anybody. So I complained to the match referee.”
