Bangladesh defeated India by 6 runs. India had set a target of winning by 266 runs. But the Indian team was restricted to 259 runs in 49.5 overs. Opener Shubman Gill scored a brilliant century for India. Shubhman Gill scored 121 runs in 133 balls. This young opener hit eight fours and five sixes in his innings but could not lead Team India to victory. Apart from Shubman Gill, other Indian batsmen disappointed. Notably, Team India’s top-class batsmen soon returned to the pavilion.

Indian all-rounder Akshar Patel scored 42 runs in 34 balls. He hit three fours and two sixes in his innings. But Akshar Patel’s innings couldn’t help the team.

Earlier, Indian captain Rohit Sharma decided to bowl after winning the toss. Bangladesh, who came to bat first, scored 265 runs for 8 wickets in 50 overs.
