IND vs AUS: Steve Smith Warns India So It Will Become Biggest Issue

The Indian team will play a four test series against Australia in February-March. This series will start from February 9th. The first match of the series will be played in Nagpur. Even before this Border Gavaskar series, Australia’s star batsman Steve Smith has expressed his intentions. He has said that he likes to play on the revolving courts of India. Smith has already warned the Indian team before the Test series to be played in 2023.

Smith said of India: “I think some grounds on the subcontinent suit my style of play. I really enjoy playing on those revolving tracks, it’s a lot of fun and there’s always something going on. But you know, if they’re not spinning and they’re kind of flat, then you’ve got to score big there. That’s definitely something I’ll tell the guys when we get there. This is my experience and you can only play according to the field in front of you.

Previously, Australia toured India in 2017. Steve Smith was in fine form on this tour. He added 499 runs in 4 Tests aided by 3 centuries. Even in 2023, it may become a problem for the Indian team. Before this, the year 2022 has passed very well for him. He scored runs in 2022 averaging 58.40 in Tests and 67.37 in ODIs. Due to his brilliant performance, he again won the Allan Border Medal last Saturday night.

Smith has played a total of 92 Tests, 139 ODIs and 63 T20 Internationals in his career so far. In this he has scored 8647 runs in 162 Test innings at an average of 60.89. Other than this, playing 124 ODI innings, he has scored a total of 4917 runs at an average of 45.11. While playing 51 T20 International innings, he scored 1008 runs with his bat at an average of 25.2 and a strike rate of 125.22.
