IND A vs. NZ A: India’s A-team will take on New Zealand’s A-team in a four-day, three-match series starting this month. Many well-known names from India who play international matches will also be included in this series. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced a 16-member squad for this major series to be held in India.

Priyank Panchal named India A team captain

Gujarat starter Priyank Panchal has been named captain of the India A team for the four-day series against New Zealand A from the last week of this month. The BCCI announced the 16-member India A team on Wednesday. Apart from Panchal, the team also includes Rituraj Gaikwad, Kuldeep Yadav and the famous Krishna. Fast pitcher Umran Malik has also been included in the team.

Players who performed best in domestic cricket had a chance

The selectors have also looked for players who have done well in the domestic season and included Bengal batsman Abhimanyu Easwaran, Rajat Patidar, who played a key role in Madhya Pradesh’s Ranji Trophy win, and Mumbai’s Sarfaraz Khan. The team also includes players like young batsman Tilak Verma, middle pace Mukesh Kumar and Yash Dayal who have yet to play international cricket.

Venue of the series between India A and New Zealand A-team

Following the four-day matches, a three-match ODI series will also be played between the two teams, the team of which will be announced later. Currently, venues for four-day and one-day matches have been announced.

M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru will host the first and third matches of four days, while the second match will be played at Rajanagar Stadium in Hubballi. Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium will host all three ODIs.
