A deferment for the tax return in paper format. The tax administration announced in a press release, this Wednesday, May 11, to grant additional time for taxpayers who receive a pre-filled tax return in paper format. As a reminder, the deadline initially planned for these audiences was Thursday, May 19 at midnight. But “some users received their pre-filled 2021 tax return in paper format significantly later than in previous years”, specifies the tax authorities. Thus, and “in order to take this situation into account, which concerns a little less than 5% of the users to whom these declarations are addressed, the deadline for filing (…) is exceptionally postponed to May 31, 2022”, explains the General Management of public finances (DGFiP).
This slight quack does not, however, modify the deadlines recorded for the declaration of income on the site of the tax administration, impots.gouv.fr. For residents of departments 01 (Ain) to 19 (Corrèze), the “deadline” is set for Tuesday May 24 at midnight, then Tuesday May 31 at midnight for departments 20 (Corsica) to 54 (Meurthe-et-Moselle ). The online income declaration campaign will officially end in zone 3 on Wednesday June 8 at midnight, in departments 55 (Meuse) to 976 (Mayotte). Please note: if these deadlines are exceeded, you are liable to a 10% increase in your income tax.
