Riyadh: In Saudi Arabia, a judge was arrested red-handed while accepting bribes.

Arab media Reports According to the Madinah Appeal Court judge has been arrested while accepting a bribe of five lakh riyals.

The action against the judge was initiated by the Anti-Corruption Public Authority.

The authority said Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz al-Jahani, who was serving at Medina’s Court of Appeal, was caught accepting five hundred thousand riyals from a citizen who was demanding a final verdict in his case.

The report states that the kingdom will continue to pursue those who do not follow the law for personal gain or harm the public interest in any way and the anti-corruption law will continue to be enforced.

According to the Arab media, a judge arrested on the charge of bribery can be imprisoned for four to five years and fined up to fifty thousand riyals.

According to the report, the judge involved in taking bribe talked about pronouncing the verdict in favor of the case, while the action against the judge has been completed.
