In the state of Uttar Pradesh, a Dalit was brutally tortured and humiliated by a man over an electricity issue, to the point where he was forced to lick his slippers. This incident that happened on Thursday night has gone viral on the internet.
In the video, it can be seen that a person is sitting on a bed and another person is standing in front of him. The man sitting on the cot grabs his ear and orders him to lick his slippers and sit down, and the other man follows his order to save his life.
Police swung into action and arrested the accused, who worked as an electrical lineman, after the video went viral on social media, the accused allegedly being angry with the Dalit man for helping other villagers with electricity problems.
A man named Tejbali Singh Patel beat up Rajinder and subjected him to humiliating punishments, police said. He made Rajendra lick his slippers and sit holding his ears.

According to the police, Rajinder had gone to his relative’s house in a village and solved some electricity problems, while other villagers also came to him and asked if he could solve their electricity problems. , to which the man agreed. In return, Rajender received some money for his services, upon which accused Tej Bali Singh Patel allegedly beat and humiliated Rajender.
The police arrested the accused lineman Tej Balisingh Patel and registered a case against him. Further investigation of the matter is going on.
It is to be noted that this is not the first time that a Dalit person has been beaten up in India. Earlier, a 30-year-old Dalit man and his 20-year-old brother were hit by a motorcycle by one of the upper caste assailants. He was beaten up after an argument over giving way. And in another incident, an upper caste man made a Dalit sit down and urinated on him.
