The ‘Side Heroes’ Story Takes Shape
After the call, Imtiaz Ali turned to the actors with a spark in his eye. “I have an idea,” he said. “Let’s make a film about friends.” Abhishek, Aparshakti, and Varun all looked a bit down. They groaned, “Friends again?” since they’ve often played companion roles.
Imtiaz quickly explained. He meant those friends you can never truly shake off your whole life. A reunion of old buddies. That’s when he revealed the film’s title: ‘Side Heroes’. The actors’ reactions were priceless. They joked, “But we told our moms we were going to be lead actors!” And just like that, the perfect title for the film was born.
