Important news for Umrah pilgrims

Saudi Arabia has made an important announcement for Umrah pilgrims after Ramadan.

According to a media report, Saudi Arabia says that after Ramadan, it will be mandatory for Muslims who wish to perform Umrah to obtain an electronic permit.

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said in this regard that the permit is issued through Nasik or Tawaklan apps.

These are apps that enable Muslims wishing to perform Umrah or pilgrimage to holy places in Saudi Arabia to obtain necessary visas and permits as well as book related packages electronically.

The Saudi authorities have made it mandatory for the pilgrims who get the e-permit not to be infected with covid and not to be in contact with people suffering from corona after getting the Umrah permit.

It should be noted that in the last few months, the state has provided more new facilities for Muslims living abroad to perform Umrah.

These include allowing Muslims holding different types of visas to perform Umrah and visit Al-Rawadah Al-Sharifah after booking an e-appointment to those holding personal, visit and tourist visas.

This (Al-Rawadah Al-Sharifah) is the holy place where the tomb of the Holy Prophet ﷺ is blessed.

Apart from this, the Saudi authorities have also extended the duration of the Umrah visa from thirty days to ninety days and have allowed the visa holder to enter the kingdom by all land, air and sea routes and leave from any airport.
