Saudi Arabia announced on Friday that it was easing its precautionary measures against the corona virus and its health.
According to Saudi media, an official source in the Interior Ministry said that it has been decided to open the Masjid al-Haram completely for worshipers. Fully vaccinated individuals can enter the Holy Shrines.
The use of masks and Umrah tracking app has been made mandatory in the two holy shrines. Service workers and visitors must wear face masks at all times.
The requirement to wear outdoor masks is being abolished in the country, but the proposal to cover the face in indoor places remains.
These decisions will reduce the need for social distance, allow commercial enterprises to operate at full capacity, and fill restaurants.
Any number of participants in weddings and other social events will be allowed with precautionary measures, but special care must be taken to prevent the epidemic.
Saudi officials say the new rules will take effect on October 17.
