As promised a few months ago, IKEA’s line of furniture and play accessories is about to have a global launch, with an expected arrival in Portugal. This is a partnership with the Republic of Gaming (ASUS ROG) and is about “furniture that prioritizes games.”
As confirmed by IKEA in an official statement, the new range of games will launch globally in stores from October. This new range includes around 30 products and goes beyond furniture.

“Including furniture (gaming tables and chairs, a chest of drawers) and accessories: a cup holder, a mouse holder, a neck pillow, a ring-shaped lamp and much more. The new range offers gaming tables and chairs in different price ranges to meet the needs of different target groups, ”writes IKEA.
IKEA has a great history when it comes to the development of home furnishings. But when it comes to games, they assume themselves to be newbies, so the association with the seasoned brand makes perfect sense.
“Gamers know and love the Republic of Gamers brand globally and trust it to deliver the most exciting gaming innovations on the market,” said Kris Huang, General Manager, ASUS Gaming Accessories and Equipment Business Unit.
“Our new partnership with IKEA experts will allow the Republic of Gamers to find new and exciting ways to please gamers at home and on the go,” he adds.
According to Ewa Rychert, IKEA’s global business leader, there is “a lot to do to democratize the gaming experience.” And this will be done with “affordable, high-performance gaming products.”
UPPSPEL, LÅNESPELARE, MATCHSPEL, GRUPPSPEL, UTESPELARE and HUVUDSPELARE will be the names of the six families of gaming products that will hit IKEA stores in October.
