If you want to prepare for matches like WTC final you will have to leave IPL, find out why Ravi Shastri said this

The main reason for the loss of the Indian team in the World Test Championship (WTC) final is attributed to the lack of preparation of the team. After the loss in the final match, India’s captain Rohit Sharma said that for such matches, at least 20 to 25 days of preparation should be adhered to. Ravi Shastri, the former head of the Indian national team, strongly criticized his statement, saying that all these things depend on what the players have to choose.

Speaking to Star Sports after the WTC final loss, Ravi Shastri said that in the current time it is not going to happen at all that it may take 20-21 days to prepare for a series. This was last seen in the year 2021 when India started preparing for the England tour 3 weeks in advance. It also benefited us and we were up 2-1 in that series.

Shastri further said that this might happen because at that time the IPL was postponed due to Corona. Because of this, we arrived in England ahead of schedule. We have to live according to today’s times. If we have to prepare for these final matches 20 days in advance, we will have to drop out of the IPL. But all these things depend on the players. Who has to decide on this.

After the crushing defeat of the India team, Head Coach Rahul Dravid also said that the busy schedule was the main reason for this defeat. According to Dravid, the preparation could have been better if the team had come here three weeks earlier for a practice game. But we couldn’t do that. However, I am not making any excuses or complaints for this defeat.
