‘If there are seven seniors in the house, there will be a problem’, former cricketer’s statement on Team India defeat

The India team is out of the T20 World Cup 2022 (T20 WC 2022). In Thursday’s semi-final match, they were defeated by 10 wickets at the hands of England. In this match, the Indian players were unable to give England any competition. After this embarrassing defeat, now former cricketers are not only venting their anger at the performance of the India team, but also questioning the changes that are taking place in the team throughout the year. Former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja has repeatedly raised one such question about the captain change.

In fact, this year the Indian team gave many players the opportunity to become captains. At the beginning of the year Virat Kohli was the captain, then Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah captained on different occasions. Regarding this, Ajay Jadeja has said: ‘There should be only one old man in the house. Even if there are seven elders, there is a problem.

While speaking to Cricbuzz, Jadeja said, ‘I’ll say one thing that will hurt. If a captain wants to be part of a team, then he has to be with the team for the whole year. How many tours did Rohit Sharma have in the whole year? I have said this before. They have joined and do not live together. This is not OK.’

In this World Cup, the India team won the last few balls against Pakistan and Bangladesh. At the same time, he was beaten in the group stage against South Africa and in the semi-final against England. The Indian team could easily beat only Zimbabwe and the Netherlands. In batting only Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya were effective. Bowling was good in the group stage but the Indian bowlers failed to take a single wicket in the semi-finals.
