If the covid wants … There are already 20 shows scheduled for 2022 on Dominican stages

With Covid-19 on its heels, the entertainment world experienced an obvious revival in 2021. However, in terms of concerts and mass events, 2022 appears to be even more active, although many questions remain as to whether they can be carried out in the face of the latent threat of the pandemic.

The concert billboard is full for the first month of next year, which includes local and foreign artists and groups on stages in Santo Domingo, Santiago, La Romana and Punta Cana, above all.

Circus Soleil
Circo Soleil is the first big show to be announced for January, in Punta Cana, with 70 performances. The show is called “Kooza” and will be presented at the Downtown Center, where it will be installed from January 7, 2022 and every weekend until April 10.

Karol G
Karol G is in charge of opening the stage for international stars who will perform in 2022 in the Dominican Republic. The Colombian artist will come to the country on January 22 as part of her ‘Bichota Tour’ to fill the Altos de Chavón Amphitheater, in La Romana.

Gilberto santa rosa
The salsero will be in the country on February 5, specifically at the Virgilio Travieso Soto Sports Palace within the ‘Camínalo’ tour.

Ana Torroja
The Spanish interpreter will provide Dominicans with her musical repertoire in her concert as part of her ‘Volver’ tour on February 10 of next year. Torroja will perform at Hard Rock Café Santo Domingo. In this event he will not only sing his songs but also those of ‘Mecano’, a pop band in which he was a vocalist.

Sin Bandera and Camila
The duos Sin Bandera and Camila decided to come together to give a night full of sentimentality and passion. Camila, formed by Mario Domm and Pablo Hurtado; and Sin Bandera, made up of Noel Schajris and Leonel Garcia, will be performing at the Palacio de los Deportes on Saturday, February 19 at 8:30 pm.

Jesse and Joy
The pair of brothers, in the middle of their ‘Clichés’ tour, will come to the Dominican Republic in order to offer their interpretations and compositions that are so popular on a global level. The Mexican duo, formed in 2005, will perform at Hard Rock Café Santo Domingo on March 5 at 10 p.m.

Juan Luis Guerra
One of the main exponents of merengue in the country will bring with him his compilation of hits. The interpreter of songs such as ‘Bachata rosa’ and ‘La Bilirrubina’ together with the 4.40 group will perform four concerts at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana on February 5, 12, 19 and 26 at 8 p.m. each. These activities will be part of the singer-songwriter’s new tour ‘Entre mar y palmeras’.

CNCO
This group made up of four young people of different nationalities comes to the National Theater to entertain and enchant their fans with their singles in an event held in the Main Hall of the National Theater, on Friday, March 11, at 8:30 pm.

Coldplay
The group of British origin announced that the Dominican Republic will be part of its ‘Music of the Spheres’ tour, this presentation will take place at the Félix Sánchez Olympic Stadium on March 22, 2022 at 5 in the afternoon.

Carlos Vives
Carlos Vives joins the presentations of the main months of the year. The Colombian-born artist arrives in the country with his tour ‘After all you live’ on March 25 at the Palacio de los Deportes Virgilio Travieso Soto.

Maroon 5
Maroon 5 is coming to the country and not just in a one-day show. The American band interpreting ‘Sugar’ ‘This Love’ and ‘Maps’ will perform on March 26 at the Quisqueya Stadium and on April 16 at Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana.
