At the ICC U19 World Cup 2022, the Indian team won three straight matches and reached the Super League quarter-final round, where they will face defending champion Bangladesh. This match will be played on January 29 at the Coolidge Cricket Ground, Antigua.

Four-time champions India entered the Super League stages unbeaten, finished top of Group B after winning all three of their matches and are set to take on last season’s winners Bangladesh.

Vishal’s centuries of Raj Bawa and Angkrish Raghuvanshi ended the pool format with a mammoth 326-run victory over Uganda as India already beat South Africa and Ireland.

Bangladesh’s path was not so easy as defending champions England from 2020 finished second in Group A after losing their first game. An eight wicket win over Canada was followed by a nine wicket win (DLS) in the rain. The match against the United Arab Emirates was interrupted to prepare for a rematch of the final two years earlier.

India will be looking to avenge defeat in 2020, with Bangladesh finding their breakthroughs at the right time to set the stage for deeper competition. Like India, England also reached the Super League stage with a clean sweep, followed by 106 and 189-run wins over Bangladesh and Canada and the United Arab Emirates, respectively.

Tom Purst led England on all fronts, scoring 93 and 154 in his last two games, with Group B runners-up South Africa in the last eight.
