Before that, three players will be nominated. This time the name of the Team India player is also included, but he will be competing against two big players from Australia. Based on Mohammed Shami’s performance in the World Cup, there is a chance that he will win, but it won’t be that easy for him.

ICC has released three names for the Player of the Month

In addition to India’s Mohammed Shami, Australia’s Travis Head and Glenn Maxwell were also named ICC Players of the Month. Travis Head played brilliantly in the World Cup semi-finals and then the final and played a huge part in his team becoming world champions. In November that year, he scored 220 runs in five ODIs at an average of 44, which included both a half-century and a century. His performance in the semi-final and final of the Cricket World Cup was commendable. He also won the Player of the Match award. Afterwards, while batting, Travis Head played a brilliant innings scoring 62 off 48 runs. Maxwell’s claim is also strong

The second Australian player nominated by the ICC is Glenn Maxwell. In his three ODI matches in November, he scored 204 runs at an average of 204 and a strike rate of 152.23, while also taking two wickets. In the two T20Is of the series against India, he scored 116 runs at an impressive strike rate of 207.14. He single-handedly led Afghanistan to victory in the World Cup. At one time Australia had lost their first wicket for 43 runs and then seven wickets for 91 runs. After that, the target of 291 seemed very high for the team, but Maxwell made it easy. He scored a brilliant 201 runs in 128 balls. During the innings, he hit 21 fours and 10 sixes.

Mohammed Shami’s performance was like that

The Indian Mohammed Shami was also nominated by the ICC. Mohammed Shami continued his excellent performance in the World Cup in November. He took 15 wickets at an average of 12.06 and an economy rate of 5.68. In the 2023 Cricket World Cup, he took 24 wickets in just seven innings and also became the leading wicket-taker of the tournament. He took five wickets for 18 runs against Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. After that, he also took two wickets for 18 runs against South Africa in Kolkata. In the final too, Mohammed Shami had taken a wicket to his name. It remains to be seen which of these three players can win this big ICC award.
