Following the ODI series between India and Zimbabwe, the International Cricket Council has released the latest ranking of batsmen in ODI cricket. Indian starter Shubman Gill jumped 45 places to 38th in the latest ICC ODI rankings released on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old starter had performed brilliantly in the recently concluded ODI series against Zimbabwe. He scored 130 runs on just 97 balls in the last ODI match played in Harare. Previously, he had scored 33 runs in the second ODI and 82 no-outs in the first ODI.
Meanwhile, former Indian captain Virat Kohli remains in fifth place with 744 qualifying points. He was rested from the Zimbabwe tour. Indian captain Rohit Sharma also remains in sixth place. He too took a break from the Zimbabwe tour.
Despite scoring 154 runs in three matches against Zimbabwe, veteran starter Shikhar Dhawan has slipped down to 12th place. He scored half a century in the first and third ODIs.
Pakistan captain Babar Azam continues to top the ODI batting rankings with a total of 891 rating points. He is followed by Rasi Van der Dussen from South Africa, who has 789 rating points.

On the other hand, New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult is at the top of the bowlers list, while Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan remains number one on the all bowlers list. In the bowler rankings, Josh Hazlewood is second, Mujeeb ur Rahman third, Jasprit Bumrah fourth, and Shaheen Afridi at number five.
