Ibrahim Ali Khan reveals acting wasn’t his first choice, wanted to be cricketer.

Saeef Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, made his acting debut this year with the film “Nadaaniyan,” which didn’t quite hit the mark. Interestingly, Ibrahim recently revealed that acting wasn’t his first career choice. Born into a family steeped in the entertainment industry, with a grandmother like Sharmila Tagore and aunts and uncles like Soha and Kunal Khemu, Ibrahim’s path to acting wasn’t straightforward.

From Cricket to Acting

Ibrahim shared in a recent interview with GQ India that his initial passion was cricket, inspired by his grandfather, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, a legendary cricketer. He took the sport seriously, even attempting to play at the Ranji Trophy level. However, he eventually realized it wasn’t the right path for him.

Ibrahim’s journey into acting wasn’t a sudden decision. He was uncertain about his future for a while, and his move into acting came gradually over time. His father, Saif Ali Khan, and his family have a rich history in the entertainment industry, but Ibrahim’s initial calling was different.

A New Path Unfolds

Ibrahim’s decision to pursue acting came after he acknowledged that cricket wasn’t his true calling. While his family has a strong background in acting, with his sister Sara Ali Khan already making a name for herself, Ibrahim’s path was unique. “Nadaaniyan,” his debut film, is available on Netflix.

You can catch Ibrahim’s debut film, “Nadaaniyan,” on Netflix. The movie marks his entry into the acting world, a journey he’s embraced after exploring other passions.
