2025 is shaping up to be a somewhat strange year for Ibai Llanos, considering his life and career lately. We say this because, in recent times, we’ve seen the content creator be practically a ‘slave to his work’, always very active on social networks, especially on Twitch, and juggling many other parallel projects outside the cameras, such as his Kings League team, Pigs, or his Esports Club, Koi. This has undoubtedly cost him many hours of work and, more importantly, had an impact on his health and quality of life.
As he himself has declared on many occasions, this rhythm of life was unsustainable, something he realized thanks to his physical change. For that reason, Ibai decided a few months into 2025 that it was going to be the year of his ‘disappearance’ from Twitch, as he wanted to give priority to other projects, such as his YouTube channel, or focus on things that are simply more important, like his family, friends, or, above all, himself, his health, and his life.
Everything started badly with Pigs
In the few times we’ve been able to see Ibai during this year, we’ve noticed an improvement, as he seems much happier and more energetic. However, last week has been the exception that broke the rule. We say this because, during the last few days, Ibai has taken one blow after another in his projects, blows that began with a very hard one on Sunday in the Sand Cupra. During this day, a new split of the Kings League and Pigs started, with Ibai’s team among the favorites due to the great quality of its workforce obtained in a large signing market.
But the fifth split of the Kings League couldn’t have started worse, as Pigs lost in a game where they were the great favorites, 6-1 against Saiyans, with Nico’s goal from a penalty being the only consolation. This was a very hard defeat, even more so because it was against TheGrefg, Ibai’s great rival on social networks.
Koi signs a dramatic Monday
But, well, that same day, Koi won against Team BDS in the LEC to advance to the next round, where they expected to face Karmine Corp, the great adversary of Ibai and his club in the world of eSports. Again, those of the Basque departed as clear favorites, but the French imposed a very forceful 2-0, much more than we could expect, thus sending the Spanish to the complicated side of the losers. This was undoubtedly the great blow of the ‘Black Week’ for Ibai Llanos, since it is, without a doubt, the project that has the most illusion and the one that follows more people.
But Monday was not over for Koi and Ibai Llanos, as, in addition to the LEC match, they had the Rising Mediamarkt semifinal, the national competition, in which Koi faced HGE Sports. This match was different, as Ibai’s team was not the favorite, but the defeat was also very painful, since Movistar Koi Fénix reached the fifth map, where a beating ‘sank to the bottom’ the Koi fans, who lived through a Monday to forget.
The Super League, The Last Hope
But, although everything seems lost today, there’s still a chance to improve the tragic week of Ibai, as today, at 9:00 p.m., Movistar Koi Fénix plays a vital game in the Superliga Domino’s by League of Legends, against Barça Esports. If the team wins, Ibai and Koi fans will feel some comfort after these bad days, but if they lose, Ibai will see one of the worst weeks in his history as the ‘head’ of Pigs and Koi.
