The boat, skippered by Grzegorz Baranowski and built in 2011 of 21.5 m. in length and who participated in the Volvo Ocean Race that year as “Puma”, has invested 24 hours, 38 minutes and 50 seconds in completing the 240 miles of La Larga for the IRC class. ‘I Love Poland’ is already waiting for the rest of the fleet, which is currently struggling with the prevailing low wind intensity that tests the mettle and patience of any participant, with speeds of around two and five knots. The bulk of the ORC 1 fleet, between 13 and 17 meters long, is advancing very slowly towards Cabrera, an island to the south of Majorca that they have to leave to starboard, with “Aviador”, “Caveman IV”, “Intrigue” and “X-Odessa” almost parallel at only one knot of speed.
