I never sang for profit. I am working one after another out of love. I don’t sing for viral or views. I sing for the audience. “If the song is good, it will leave a mark in the minds of the audience,” said Close Close-up One star and popular northern folk singer Saju Ahmed.
Saju has so far given several hit songs. However, his new original solo album will be released on the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr. The name is ‘death’. While talking about this, he expressed such an opinion to the voice of time.’
Regarding the new album, Saju said, ‘My target was to release one album every year. But that was not possible due to Corona. I hope everyone will like the songs of the new album. There is always an effort to do something good.’
Why is the name of the album ‘death’? When asked, he said, I always sing life-oriented songs. which is related to one’s own life. I want to release an album every year. I want to give something good to the audience. These songs will keep me alive after death. The album is the diary of my life.’
Saju also said, ‘currently the music market is in recession. Audio market in recession. Nobody releases albums anymore. The current music scene in View’s run. Music video has taken over the music market. So the audio album has been extinct for several years. Even when such a time comes, don’t think about business, dress in exceptional thinking.’
The singer, who gained fame by singing folk songs, was selected as the second runner-up in reality show Close-up One in 2008. It was not the first time that people protested in his district. His musical practice started with the folk songs of the northern region, but later Saju also practiced the songs of other districts. He has also sung for modern songs and films.
The singer said, “I will sing as long as I live.” I have no retreat except music. As long as there is life in the body, there will be music in the voice. I don’t expect much. I don’t want a car. I want to spend the rest of my life with music.
In the context of the speech, he said that the role of folk genre songs in making today’s saju is incomparable.
The upcoming album is lined up with 10 songs. The songs are ‘Katha Hela Thakab Dujan’, ‘Kandbe Tu Gopne’, ‘Deh Adoor Cha Jaye’, ‘Maola’s Name’, ‘Death’, ‘Aparup Taruni’, ‘Toma Aakei Robo’, ‘Bina Dosha Doshi’, ‘Cock Jaw’ and ‘Song Man’.
All the songs in the album are written and composed by Sajur. The songs are jointly composed by Toffee Rayner and AR & Roy. His new album will be released on the upcoming Eid under the banner of audio-video production company Zee Series.
Saju has released dozens of albums before this. The most discussed among them are ‘Maya Padche’, ‘Miss Sundari’, ‘Bhabiya Dekho Re’, ‘01714558283’ Prabhuti album. In this, his sung and composed songs like ‘Tomar Bari Rastatar Mayaye Padhi’, ‘Bandure Tor Piri Lash Yite Bhasilam Nadi’ and some other songs became popular with the audience.
