Huobi gets green light as exchange provider in Australia

Popular cryptocurrency exchange Huobi can now officially begin offering crypto services in Australia. It has now successfully completed its registration with the Australian regulator.

Broadening horizons

As a result, the exchange continues to take steps to broaden its horizons. The exchange is also looking at an official move to the US market. To this end, the company set up a US subsidiary called HBIT last month. This subsidiary has since received a ‘Money Services Business’ license and hopes to launch various exchange services in the future.

The exchange also managed to obtain licenses in June of this year in New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates, among others. The Dubai regulator also gave the exchange preliminary approval.

This does not mean that the company always has it easy. In Thailand, the company struggled for some time, after which they stopped their activities in Thailand a little later. The company was also forced to relocate to Gibraltar in late 2021 after Chinese authorities cracked down on crypto companies. Nevertheless, the company is now taking significant steps to expand their activities. It is not yet known what the company’s next step will be.
