Hundreds of new projects to Cardano after successful update

Cardano (ADA) co-founder Charles Hoskinson tweeted that hundreds of projects are showing interest in Cardano. After the Vasil update, it is a lot more attractive for projects to launch on the Cardano ecosystem.

Growing interest in Cardano

One of those projects is a decentralized music streaming service, NEWM. Through this platform, artists can share their music and earn royalties in the form of NFTs.

Representatives of the music platform explained their choice for Cardano:

“We have been waiting for the Vasil update. This update makes our smart contracts cheaper and more efficient. The future of music is now!”

NEWM is just one of many projects that will use Cardano after the successful Vasil update. Cardano developers promised to improve the scalability and efficiency of the network with the Vasil update. With the new interest in the Cardano blockchain from various projects, the update seems to have an immediate effect.

Charles Hoskinson is pleased with the interest in Cardano after the Vasil update. He also responded to media criticism for the delay in the Vasil update last summer.

“The passive aggression of some news titles amazes me. We have reached a huge milestone and that took coordination and testing of people and companies worldwide. But the big news is “a three-month delay.”

Big ambitions

The Vasil update was only the first step of many aimed at improving the scalability of the Cardano network. Hoskinson previously indicated Cardano’s ambitions. The Vasil update was the first big step to realize these ambitions.

“We created Cardano to become the financial system of the world. To be a bank for people who don’t have access to it. As a community, we built Cardano to provide an economic identity to those who don’t so that we can achieve a fair global market.”
