Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster Cozy Up at Gotham Awards 2025

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster made a striking public appearance together at the annual Gotham Film Awards ceremony in New York City. The couple was all smiles as they walked the red carpet.

Jackman, 57, opted for a classic black suit. Foster, 50, complemented his look with a black sequined slip dress, shining high heels, and dazzling earrings, her hair styled in a low bun.

Jackman is currently starring alongside Kate Hudson in the biographical musical Song Sung Blue. They portray Mike and Claire Sardina, a duo performing in a Neil Diamond tribute band called Lightning & Thunder.

For their work in the film, Jackman and Hudson, 46, are set to receive the inaugural Gotham Musical Tribute at this year’s ceremony.

Jeffrey Sharp, Executive Director of The Gotham Film & Media Institute, praised their performances. He stated that Hudson and Jackman deliver "powerful, intimate, and deeply human" interpretations in Song Sung Blue.

Sharp added that their "on-screen connection and the heartfelt way they bring this true story to life channel the timeless music of Neil Diamond, while also revealing their own artistry and spirit." The film serves as a reminder of music’s ability to uplift and inspire.

Foster has been a supportive presence during Jackman’s press tour for Song Sung Blue. The couple first debuted their relationship on the red carpet at the film’s Los Angeles premiere on October 26, where they also wore coordinated black outfits.

Jackman officially confirmed their relationship on Instagram the following month. On November 26, the Wolverine actor shared a video and photo of Foster performing at New York’s Café Carlyle.

His caption read, "@suttonlenore performing during the holidays at @cafecarlyle … now that’s an iconic NYC night! And truly magical."

The actors previously co-starred in the Broadway production of The Music Man from 2021 to 2023. Jackman announced his separation from Deborra-Lee Furness in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage, with their divorce finalized in June.

Foster filed for divorce from her husband Ted Griffin in October 2024, just days before their tenth wedding anniversary. Her divorce proceedings are ongoing.

Us Weekly confirmed in November 2024 that Jackman and Foster were officially dating. A source told the publication that their connection was the "reason Hugh and Deb got divorced."

Furness addressed her life post-separation this summer. "My heart and compassion are with all who have transitioned through the traumatic path of betrayal," Furness told the Daily Mail in May.

She described it as a "deep wound that cuts very deep." Furness expressed her belief in a higher power, stating that "God/the universe, whatever guides you, is always working FOR us."

Furness concluded that this belief helped her navigate the end of her nearly three-decade marriage. She gained "so much knowledge and wisdom through this experience," believing adversity guides individuals toward their "greatest good, our true purpose."
