Huerta and Mosyagina are crowned in the National Junior Championships

Huerta y Mosyagina se coronan en los Campeonatos Nacionales Juveniles

Rodrigo Huerta and Stefania Mosyagina were crowned champions of the National Junior Championships, an event organized by the Dominican Golf Federation (Fedogolf) and the National Junior Tour, held at the Dientes de Perro, The Links and Dye Fore courses, in Casa de Campo between Friday and Sunday, with more than 70 children between 4 and 18 years old.

Huerta, promise of Dominican golf, was the champion in 15-18 with scores of 71+75+75, while Mosyagina won with scores of 86+78+76. Camila Yoo was the runner-up with 84+86+82.

Huerta, a native of Santiago, was the champion of the event at the age of 14, the only one at that age to win the 15-18 category in the history of the National Championships. He had the best score of the tournament with 71; Kevin Rodríguez, who was champion last year, this 2022 was runner-up, with 75 + 83 + 79.

Mosyagina won the event for the first time, as Stephany Kim had won the event four times in a row.

Antonio Oliva was the champion 13-14 with 79+71, that score of 71 in the second round leaves him tied with Huerta. Juan Tomás Herrera took second place with cards of 81+78.

Waldo Aguasvivas won his category for the first time, 11-12 in the National Championships, this time he beat runner-up Alejandro Balbuena 162-175.

Alejandro Cerda is another national champion with a score of 88 in two days at 9-10. And as runner-up the young Luca Riedl.
