Huawei’s groundbreaking tri-fold smartphone, the Mate XT, has made waves in the tech world since its release in China in September 2024. Priced at a premium.
Here are the initial prices:
- 16/256 GB: 19,999 yuan
- 16/512 GB: 21,999 yuan
- 16 GB/1 TB: 23,999 yuan
A Chinese digital influencer recently revealed that Huawei has sold over 400,000 Mate XT units. This impressive sales figure has sparked widespread discussion online, with many praising Huawei’s success in China’s high-end market.
The Mate XT sold out quickly during its initial release. This sparked high demand, with some resellers listing the phone for over 50,000 yuan. However, prices later dropped.
Current Sales Status
Huawei’s official online store shows that the 16/256 GB version is currently out of stock. The other two versions, 16/512 GB and 16 GB/1 TB, are still available.
While the Mate XT has been released globally in February 2025, sales outside China may be impacted. The absence of Google services and higher prices may be a result of increased import duties due to the ongoing trade tensions between China and the US.
