Huawei wants to be number 1 in Portugal in the wearables segment

At a press conference held in our country, Huawei not only presented the new Country Head of CBG of Huawei Portugal, but also announced the objectives for the national market.

The Chinese brand wants to be the sales leader in the wearables segment in our country and seems to be well launched with a 25% growth in this area, compared to last year.

Huawei Watch Fit 2 arrives in Portugal with prices starting at 169 euros

Huawei held a press conference in Portugal, in which it announced the new CBG Country Head of the brand in our country, in addition to revealing its plans for the national market.

Huawei wants to be number 1 in the wearables segment, with the highest number of units sold. Although the goal seems ambitious, Huawei seems to be on the right track to reach its goal, as it has been growing in the Portuguese market. Specifically, it registered an increase of 25% compared to last year, in this segment.

More: according to the brand, in Portugal, Huawei’s revenue from wearables grew by 22% compared to the previous year.

Contributing to this result in the segment of devices for less than 150 euros are the Huawei Watch Fit New and Active, which have sold more than 35,000 units since their launch in the summer of 2021.

New Country Head now arrives in Portugal and new wearables arrive between June and July

In the upper segment, the Huawei Watch GT 2 and GT 3 models were equally successful among Portuguese users. Since its launch, more than 70 thousand units of these smart watches have been sold in our country.

“Our strategy for this year is to strengthen our number one position in the segment from 75 to 250 euros, and it was in this sense that we decided to bring the new Huawei Watch Fit 2 and Huawei Band 7 to Portugal. We also intend to lead in the premium segment of the market with the recently introduced Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro which, based on its distinctive design and premium materials, we believe will be the choice of many Portuguese consumers”, says Jiandong, new Country Head of CBG at CBG Huawei Portugal.

The new Country Head of the brand now arrives in the Portuguese market after having held the position of Director of Retail in Western Europe (WEU) for the last three years. For Jiandong, his challenge will be to place the brand at the top of the best-seller rankings in some business areas, namely wearable devices and computers.

And to achieve the long-awaited success in the Portuguese market, Huawei’s new wearables -Watch Fit 2 and Watch GT 3 Pro- will arrive in Portugal between June and July, with prices between 169 and 249 euros in the case of Watch Fit2. and between 399 and 619 euros for the most advanced model Watch GT 3 Pro.
