Huawei has quietly introduced a new mid-range smartphone in China, the Enjoy 70X Premium, featuring satellite communication capabilities typically reserved for high-end devices.
This launch comes ahead of the company’s anticipated Mate 80 flagship series and Mate X7 foldable phone unveiling on November 25, 2025.
The Enjoy 70X Premium allows users to send messages or images via satellite where traditional cellular networks are unavailable. This advanced feature is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 8000 chipset.
The Kirin 8000 chipset, launched in 2024, is manufactured using 7nm technology. It features an octa-core CPU configuration, including a high-performance A77 H core clocking at 2.40 GHz.
The phone supports 8 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage. Its design largely mirrors the Enjoy 70X model, which was released earlier in 2025.
The Premium version offers new color options alongside the upgraded chipset.
The device sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. An 8-megapixel selfie camera is housed in a punch-hole cutout, and an under-display fingerprint sensor is included.
The rear camera system comprises a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
It comes with a robust 6,100 mAh battery, supporting 40W fast charging. The smartphone runs on HarmonyOS 4.2 and includes Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity.
The Enjoy 70X Premium is available on Huawei’s Vmall online store in China. Available colors are Obsidian Black, Sand Gold, and Starry Blue.
Pricing starts at 1,899 Chinese Yuan (approximately $260 USD) for the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage configuration. A version with 8 GB RAM and 512 GB storage is priced at 2,199 Chinese Yuan (approximately $300 USD).
