THE huawei will present tomorrow, May 18, a new generation of folding smartphones and new smart watches. More specifically, we will soon have the folding smartphone Huawei Mate Xs 2as well as the smart watch Huawei Watch GT3 Pro.
At stake is the global launch of new high-end products from the Chinese manufacturer. They will, in fact, be some of the most important devices of the former Asian giant with the right to present and broadcast live on YouTube at 1:00 p.m. in Lisbon.
Huawei prepares to reveal its best products of 2022
The biggest announcement is undoubtedly the new foldable smartphone, not only as a proof of concept, but also as a product ready for the big market. Apparently, this will be one of the thinnest foldables on the market based on the leaks that have gradually made the Huawei Mate Xs 2 known.
The new phone will be available in three color combinations (black, gold and pink). It will have a front camera perforating the AMOLED screen, with a triple rear camera of 50 MP, aligned vertically. In addition, it will have support for the pen or needle own brand, the M-Pen.
Furthermore, the smartphone will have an 8-inch screen, when opened, with a high refresh rate at 120 Hz, AMOLED technology with Full-HD+ or Quad-HD+ resolution (this point still needs confirmation). We will also have a 4,500 mAh capacity battery, as well as fast charging at 66 W of power.
It should be noted, however, that this high-end smartphone, like other Huawei phones, will not have access to 5G mobile networks. In fact, it will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 processor, last year’s top of the range, limited to 4G LTE mobile networks.
In addition to the folding smartphone, we will have the new Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro
The event will also serve as the stage for the presentation of the high-end smartwatch Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro. This will be the new flagship of the wearables segment, with a 1.6-inch screen, AMOLED technology, ECG and other innovations.
An increase in build quality is also expected, keeping the classic design with a round screen. In addition, you can follow up to 100 sports and have the rest of the functionalities for monitoring the user’s exercise and physical activity.
Finally, we will also be able to see a new Huawei Band7 smartband as well as a new Huawei MatePad SE tablet for 2022. We remind you that the event will be broadcast live tomorrow from 1:00 p.m.
