WhatsApp is the most popular messaging app in our country, but unlike other apps, it has the limitation of it is not possible to quickly switch accounts to use more than one phone number.
This is quite annoying if, for example, you use the iPhone’s Dual SIM functionality, which allows you to have two active SIMs on your phone (typically, one physical and one virtual, i.e. eSIM).
Luckily, there is a trick which makes it possible to circumvent this limitation, at least partially, thanks to WhatsApp Business, an official version of the business-oriented application.
WhatsApp Business offers all the functions available in the regular version and some more business-oriented, such as automatic replies, missing messages, etc.
The only thing you need to keep in mind is that WhatsApp will label your account as business If you use this version of the app, and anyone who starts a chat with you will see that it is a corporate account.
If you want to go ahead and use two WhatsApp accounts on your iPhone, follow these steps:
- Go to the App Store.
If you are already using the regular WhatsApp app, download and install WhatsApp Business.
At this point, you will have two WhatsApp apps on your iPhone: Normal and Business.
Create a new account which you just installed, WhatsApp Business, and you will be able to use each of the WhatsApp apps for a different number/account.
