How to Activate the New Look of Office

Microsoft’s new visual update for Office can be easily disabled or enabled using the feature Coming soon found in the upper right corner of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.

To get started, just click on the megaphone icon to open the panel Coming soon, navigate to the bottom and use the button to activate the new interface for all Office applications.

The biggest change in this visual update is the fact that Office now adheres to the Windows theme by default. That means you can use it in any Windows theme you like, including dark mode.

Another change is that the Quick Access Toolbar is now hidden by default to simplify the Office user interface.

To display it again, just right-click the ribbon or the Display Options icon on the ribbon, then click Show Quick Access Toolbar.
