How much money does Pello Bilbao get for winning the 10th stage of the 2023 Tour de France?

At last. After a long wait, a Spaniard raised his arms again in the Tour de France. Pello Bilbao, fantastic, this Tuesday, on the 10th day of the French round, has cut 100 stages of national drought. Since 2018, when Omar Fraile triumphed at the Mende airfield, no national cyclist had been able to celebrate a victory on the Grande Boucle.

A deserved joy for a very complete rider, who also sits 5th in the general classification. Double prize for Pello, who will also pocket €11,000 as a financial reward. Georg Zimmermann (Intermarché), second, keeps €5,500 and the other Spaniard present in the escape, Antonio Pedrero (Movistar), finally sixth, takes €780 as consolation.

“We had a special motivation and I was not going to stop until I achieved it. It was hard for me to control the situation. I was borderline, but I guess we were all the same. It was a day to go full throttle. I leaked in the escape and it was clear to me. I only thought about winning this stage. Many thanks to the team and to Gino (Mäder) for giving me this inspiration”, said Bilbao at the finish line. His emotion is that of all Spanish cycling.
