How many holidays will there be in the UAE this year? It has been announced

The UAE government has announced annual holidays in government and non-government institutions at the beginning of this year.

According to the current schedule in this regard, there will be a total of 13 public holidays, the UAE government has released the schedule of public and private sector employee holidays during the year 2023 on the Digital Government website.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Emirati government has said in a statement that there will be a 13-day public holiday on various festivals this year. Regular salary will also be paid to the employees on these holidays.

Dubai residents will have 14 public holidays in 2023

According to the schedule, there is a one-day New Year holiday on January 1. Eid al-Fitr holidays will be four days from 29 Ramadan to 3 Shawwal. Holidays on Waqf Arafa and Eid-ul-Adha will be from 9th Dhul-Hijjah to 12th Dhul-Hijjah.

On the arrival of the new Hijri year, there will be one day holiday on 1 Muharram 1445 AH and one day holiday on 12 Rabi Awwal 1445 AH. Later, there will be a two-day holiday on National Day on December 2 and 3.

The Emirati Digital Government website said in a statement that Islamic festival holidays are linked to the sighting of the crescent moon. Their dates may vary with respect to the CE calendar.
