Riyadh: The Public Transport Authority in Saudi Arabia has released a chart of 35 violations related to individual and company taxi service on its website.
According to Saudi media, the authority has imposed fines ranging from 500 to 5,000 riyals for each violation, while roaming the streets and highways in search of rides is also considered a traffic violation and is subject to a fine of 1,000 riyals. ۔
The authority says that any technical change in the taxi will result in a fine of 5,000 riyals.
A fine of 5,000 riyals will be levied for using the vehicle as a taxi after the stipulated period. Refusal to provide or continue service while on duty or at the commencement of service is a violation. He is fined one thousand riyals.
There will also be a fine of one thousand riyals for delay in extension of operational card. It is wrong to smoke in the car or allow the riders to do so and to ride in more than one place in the city, it will be fined 500 riyals.
According to the authority, “there will be a fine of 500 riyals for interfering in the private affairs of the riders in any form.” It is wrong to keep boxes or luggage in the car other than a handbag or to carry more luggage than the allotted space or to carry luggage without rides and there is a fine of 500 riyals.
