How does the Pakistan team lose before even taking the field against India?

Whenever India and Pakistan meet on the cricket ground, the atmosphere of the game is seen on a different level. The main reason behind this is the mutual relations between the two countries. In the year 2022, when the match between India and Pakistan was played during the T20 World Cup, there were many ups and downs and in the end the Indian team was able to win. Now once again at the ICC event, the clash between the two teams will be seen at the Ahmedabad Stadium on October 15.

The Pakistan team’s record against India in ICC events is not good at all. The main reason behind this is believed to be that the Pakistani team is under pressure. Due to the expectations of the fans and the rhetoric of the former players, additional pressure is clearly visible on the team even before the start of the match. For this reason, so far in the history of the ODI World Cup, the Pakistani team failed to win the match against India even once.

For the first time in the year 1992, the match between the two teams was played in the ODI World Cup. India has defeated Pakistan 7 times so far. The last time the two teams met in the ODI World Cup in Manchester in 2019, India won the match by 89 runs using the Duckworth-Lewis method. Apart from this both teams have met 7 times in T20 World Cup and in this India has managed to win 6 times while Pakistan has managed to win only once.

Apart from the World Cup, India’s advantage against Pakistan has also been visible in the Asian Cup. So far, both teams have met 17 times. Out of this, the Indian team has won 9 times while Pakistan has managed to win only 6 times. At the same time, 2 matches ended without any results. If the record of both teams is seen in the last 5 Asian Cup matches, India have won 4 while Pakistan have won 1.
