Raju Srivastava was born on December 25, 1963 in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Raju’s father, Rameshchandra Srivastava, was a well known poet and was famous as Balai Kaka. His father had a special status in Kanpur. In the early days, Raju liked to imitate celebrities, through whom he used to entertain people. Gradually, Raju Srivastava began to entertain people not only at home and at school, but also at Barthje parties, etc. However, his mother often scolded him for this hobby because she wanted Raju to do a good job after studying and writing. But fate had something else in mind.

It is no secret to anyone that Raju Srivastava was a great admirer of megastar Amitabh Bachchan. He was often seen imitating her in her performance. Raju was struggling with small roles in stage shows, movies and television series. But his life changed when he participated in the Star show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. Even though Raju remained the runner-up in this show, but the mimicry of Gajodhar Bhaiya or Amitabh Bachchan Raju made a special place in the hearts of the audience.
