Housefull 5 is making headlines, but not just for its box office numbers. The film’s song “Lal Pari” has sparked controversy, with claims that its iconic dance step was copied from a popular social media video.
Dance content creator Sandeep Brahman has accused the film’s choreographer, Remo D’Souza, and producers of lifting his dance step without permission or credit. He shared his grievances on Instagram, where the news spread like wildfire.
The issue gained traction after being reported by paparazzi page Tahir Jasus on Instagram. Users are now divided on the topic, with some calling for justice for Sandeep and others downplaying the incident as an unfortunate oversight.
In response to the allegations, director Tarun Mansukhani has apologized, stating that he was unaware of the dance step’s origins. He clarified that there was no intention to cause harm or steal from anyone, suggesting that someone on his team might have seen the dance on social media and incorporated it into the song without realizing its source.
Mansukhani expressed regret and acknowledged that if he had known about Sandeep’s dance, he might have even offered him a role in choreographing the song. The director emphasized that the incident was unintentional and not a deliberate attempt to plagiarize.
Despite the controversy, Housefull 5 continues to perform well at the box office, having crossed the 100 crore mark in just four days. The film’s star-studded cast, including Akshay Kumar, Ritiesh Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan, seems to be a major draw for audiences.
The controversy surrounding “Lal Pari” has sparked a debate on social media, with some users advocating for Sandeep and others viewing the incident as an honest mistake. As the conversation continues, one thing is clear: the entertainment industry is under scrutiny, and creators are expected to uphold the highest standards of originality and credit.
